IR LED Glasses

After viewing Johnny Lee's incredible head tracking demonstration using the Wii hardware I had to experience it for myself. I had a pair of LED safety googles lying around and decided it was time to put them to better use.

What would be a good way to test to see if i did this properly...i know the leds won't glow or anything (or maybe they will) i just want to test this before i go any further...the goggles i bought are slightly different than yours but i can obviously see the positive and negative and i put the shorter one on the positive side...thanks

A good way to check is by viewing the powered LEDs with a digital still or video camera - those devices should display infrared light as a sort of white/blue/purple.

Please note - Rob pointed out that this mod would work more efficiently with a 47Ω resistor between the positive side of the battery and shorter LED lead.

how much would two pair of these cost me. email me please.
